Chainmaille Inlay - Princess Luna's Cutie Mark by Xyyx-Shard Chainmaille Inlay - Princess Luna's Cutie Mark by Xyyx-Shard
Finally! A little over a year after my first upload of the Rainbow Dash inlay, I've completed yet another inlay for Princess Luna! Fell on hard times for a little while, eventually scrounged up enough money to get some rings and get doing what I love to do. The white in the inlay is a very shiny, silvery white that looks absolutely marvelous compared to the matte white of the Rainbow Dash inlay, pictures really just don't do it justice, unfortunately. There are also spots where the purple rings look a little shoddy and scratched, but that's something I'll put up with because of how nearly-perfect the colour wound up being, and how little you can see it in the photo.

Here, have some stats:

3,317 16g 1/4" Anodized Aluminum Rings total
-- 1,356 Purple rings
-- 1,538 Black rings
-- 423 (very shiny!) White rings
~15 Hours work total over 8 days

How heavy is this? Because with the right modifications this could be made into the ultimate suit of Lunar Chainmail Armor, and then I would buy it.

Not particularly heavy, maybe about 2 cans of soda worth if you want something to compare it to. I don't plan to make it into an armour piece, sorry!

Two cans... that's pretty light. I'm going to assume that is two standard 8 ounce cans, not the 20 ounce rockstars and monsters than most people are drinking.. So, that's not bad.
Anywhat, I was just joking around. I wouldn't make something like this into armor. I'd probably take a regular suit of armor and add the cutie mark to that, somehow.
